At exactly 6:30pm EST, season 5 gets their first hardcore 99! Good job Plugin from the Europe realm! This is the 3rd season in a row that Europe has scored first on hardcore, this time doing it in 35 days.
Softcore hit 99 8 days ago when USEast and Europe leveled. Another good feat even for softcore standards.
It looks like Ramesses will be the 2nd 99 in the world, also from the Europe realm. Ramesses was about 40 million from 99 when Plugin leveled, making it a fairly close race until the end for the hardcore championship this season.
For the rest of you, i hope you can make it to 99 as well, it's going to be a great season! Stay alive another day everyone!

It is official, the long awaited sequel to one of the the best rpg games ever to be made has been announced. Diablo III introduces a new class called Witch Doctor, as well as bringing back the Barbarian for those of you who have melee in their blood. No other classes have been discussed at this point, but I wouldnt be surprised if there were a few more added later when we get closer to release date. At this point it looks to be around the end of 2010 or maybe even 2011, but anything is possible so it could be earlier. Now Blizzard only released a little bit so far, but the game play video they did release showed the birds eye view that Diablo II uses, but now it adds a 3d aspect that makes exploring that much more fun. Exploring a dungeon will now feel like you are actually moving lower and lower in level instead of clicking a staircase to get to the next level. As you move lower, the areas above slowly fade out of view to display a different part of the map. It's pretty cool, and you should be used to this if you play other games that have advanced graphic capabilities. The birds eye view at this point appears to be the only view you will have when you play, but this could change as Blizzard releases more information about the game. I would expect this wont change however, afterall most 360 degree games tend to capitalize on it when they show a demo. Here is a link to the official homepage of Diablo III, where you can see the demos Blizzard released: http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/

Yes gamers, it is official, Blizzard has announced that they are resetting the ladders! Season 5 will begin next Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Who's going to be the first to 99? Who's Baal runs are going to be the quickest? Who's going to have the first ladder Enigma? These are just some of the questions that will be answered when we begin the new ladder.
Have fun gamers!

Because we are in the giving mood, we have adjusted the trading forums so that if you make a new topic there, you will get free United Currency! Please follow the rules of the trading forums though because spamming will not be tolerated. This will be effective through January of 2008. And that's just the beginning! Occasionally we will check character profiles in Battle.net channels and if we see your profile mentioning D2 United and your D2 United account, we will give you more free United Currency! To be eligible for the free United Currency here you must only mention D2United and not another trading forum as well. And our big christmas special, anyone buying United Currency (any amount) from now to the end of the month will receive up to double. That's right, if you spend $10 to buy 1000 UC, you will receive 2000 UC! Wow! And finally, how about some free items? I really only play hardcore so I cant help the softcore people this year but if you want free hardcore items from either the useast or uswest realm, check the list of games nightly until the end of the year. I expect to give oodles and oodles of items away on each of the us realms so keep your eyes open. Ok my fingers are getting tired so i will leave you with this: Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the New Year!

To promote the use of United Currency, we are adjusting the payout rate to 50 cents on the dollar. As the population of United Currency rises, our goal is to slowly increase the rate back to a maximum of 75 cents on the dollar.
Using this rate will allow us to give more free United Currency to people who use the site, as well as letting us spend more money on getting the word out about D2 United. We will never use those annoying and potentially infringing channel bots to advertise so we have to find other ways to market our site.
All members who had United Currency could have redeemed it for more money yesterday so to make this new rate be equivalent to what it was, we are giving all members an additional 50% of their current United Currency. Example: if you had 1000 United Currency, you now have 1500 United Currency. This way redeeming tomorrow or redeeming it yesterday will give you the same amount.
If you have any questions regarding this new variable rate, ask a mod or admin and he will be happy to explain it further. Thanks!
