It is official, the long awaited sequel to one of the the best rpg games ever to be made has been announced. Diablo III introduces a new class called Witch Doctor, as well as bringing back the Barbarian for those of you who have melee in their blood. No other classes have been discussed at this point, but I wouldnt be surprised if there were a few more added later when we get closer to release date. At this point it looks to be around the end of 2010 or maybe even 2011, but anything is possible so it could be earlier.
Now Blizzard only released a little bit so far, but the game play video they did release showed the birds eye view that Diablo II uses, but now it adds a 3d aspect that makes exploring that much more fun. Exploring a dungeon will now feel like you are actually moving lower and lower in level instead of clicking a staircase to get to the next level. As you move lower, the areas above slowly fade out of view to display a different part of the map. It's pretty cool, and you should be used to this if you play other games that have advanced graphic capabilities. The birds eye view at this point appears to be the only view you will have when you play, but this could change as Blizzard releases more information about the game. I would expect this wont change however, afterall most 360 degree games tend to capitalize on it when they show a demo. Here is a link to the official homepage of Diablo III, where you can see the demos Blizzard released: http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/ -------------------- Stay alive another day!
